WHAM

So last night

I was sleeping.

for some reason,

while I was sleeping,

I thought it would be a good idea to get out of bed.

Problem was..

I tried to get out on the side of my bed with the wall.

WHAM.

My poor nose hasn't forgiven me yet.

haha,

happens...

it hurt so bad! but instead of reacting like any normal person might

i just, you know

laid there.

All the sudden it occurred to me

"I'm not moving at all. I hope I didn't knock myself out"

(you know, things get confusing in the middle of the night)

so i did a little cause and effect testing.

i could still move my nose which means:

1) i was conscious

2) my nose was not broken.

count your many blessings.

best part is... i forgot about all of this until about noon today!

I thought the massive pain from my nose was the wrath of a forming facial blemish (zit)

when no such blemish occured... (hallelujah)

and swelling did.... (dang it)

memories came a floodin'

ANYWAYS. 

i am leaving to hawaii tomorrow.
which// YES. i am really excited. 

just a few things:

1) facebook fast. see ya sucka.

2) i am going to read some books. i am sick of the music on my ipod (which, dang, time to update), social media is like...whate'er, movies-mehh. and i just want some good quality intellectual reading.

3) live in the moment. i dont want to think back. i dont want to think too far forward. i just want to enjoy this glorious time i have with my best friends (mama, daddy, tyboy, daydo, twinny, monkeychicken)

because i am just a girl enjoying life one WHAM at a time :)

I have the absolute best family in the entire world! Really though. They are my best friends and if I could spend eternity with them I would…. Wait ;) 

So pretty much we have done so many fun things this summer already, and my siblings have officially been out three days. Boo-ya. 

We went on a hike.

Got our first snow cone of the summer. Mmmmmm//

Saw the Avengers. 

Went mini-golfing and laser tagging. RENEGADE!

Went to 7 peaks. (haha, ok ok, so i only went for a half an hour. but it's a decent start)

Went to Ty’s soccer BBQ. 

Ran a 5k.

Went to Ihop for Saturday Breakfast. 

Had another BBQ

Annnnnnnd

Partied. (it happens often)

Valentines day will not be the day I wallow over roses and heart candies. I mean, why? I have so much to be thankful for! The love of family and friends, the love of my Savior, and the ability to love them back. 

and so, i remind myself...

Once upon a time, I got a phone call from my mom on a Tuesday.

"Hey Jess. Do you have a lot going on this weekend?"

"Hmm...no. Why?"

"Do you want to go to Saint George?"

yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh :)

Once upon another time I got a phone call from my mom on a Wednesday.

"Hey Jess. We are changing our Saint George trip.."

dang it.

"We are going to Disneyland instead."

Once upon a time I am going to DISNEYLAND this  FRIDAY! :) 

This is going to be a much needed weekend. I'll be honest, I've been feeling a little burned out. I have been working SO STINKING HARD the past couple of weeks to stay on top of things (college midterms). haha thank heavens those are over! :)


now that things are winding down..it will be a wonderful chance to spend a little time just breathing. AND how perfect?! I get to spend it not just laying around my apartment, but with my FAMILY :) in the warm sun. In Cali. In Disneyland. The most magical place on earth. HUZZAH :) 


I couldn't be happier.

Sugar isn't as good as I remember.

Dang it. What a disappointing realization.

Well today I was in a car crash.

Yes it was my first one ever.

Yes it was on Friday the thirteenth.

Yes it shook me up a little.

But NO, I do not believe today was an unlucky day.

In fact I am quite BLESSED.

 Mosiah:8,10,16 For they knew not what to think; for when they beheld those that had been delivered ^aout of bondage they were filled with exceedingly great joy... And again, when they thought of the immediate goodness of God, and his power in delivering [them out] of ^abondage, they did raise their voices and give thanks to God....And he did exhort the people of Limhi and his brethren, all those that had been delivered out of bondage, that they should remember that it was the Lord that did deliver them.

Thank you for that Ty Boy. And not just for the scipture. But thank you for being an example of focusing on the spiritual aspect of every situation. 

I just hope I always remember how blessed I am! I too often forget just how much of an influence our Father's hand has in our lives.

Today I am thankful for:
-Laughter. it really is the best medicine.
-Family. what would I do with out them??
-Good friends with high standards.
-Seat belts.
-Forgiveness
-Charity and Service.
-An Eternal Hope.
-Prayer to communicate with my Father.
-The scriptures
-Good Neighbors
-Home teachers in Action
-Support from the Holy Ghost, affirming everything will be ok.
