Summer Bucket List

Earlier this summer TyBoy and Daydo had a brilliant idea.
They decided that they were going to come up with a list of only the best things to fill one's summer vacation with. Thus, the MCFARLAND SUMMER BUCKET LIST WAS BORN.

 #1) CARBONATE MILK

ya, we thought it would just be gross. we didn't know it would full on EXPLODE> haha. it was a pretty sweet milk bomb though...if I do say so myself..

and then? We drank it.

verdict? I wouldn't try this at home.

#2) MINI SMORES

Ingredients:
Toothpicks
Mini Mallows
Chocolate Chips
Honey Graham Cereal

I think TyBoy liked em :)

Me and the Girls certainly did!!

(sincere apologies to Ratch and Daydo...your pictures were blurry)

but they liked em too

overall SUCCESS!!

#3) BUILD A BIRDHOUSE FROM SCRATCH

I think it is written in a book somewhere that you have to sign your work..

Either way, we were certainly proud to call it our own :)

Well, this wasn't on our summer bucket list. Just and added bonus.

We grew lillies in our gutter.

Whoops? haha

Though, we do have the most beautiful gutters in town....

#4) SLEEP ON THE TRAMP//(dont sleep at all...on the tramp, haha)

It was awesome...so Daydo turns in his sleep. ALOT. haha

it was super exciting everytime he did so too becuase it wasn't just a gentle turn, but no, he got the whole tramp involved.

ya, it was fun.

Lots more to come! Ya...we have an entire list...

Love, Jess

since you've been gone

MAN!!

How does life happen like that?

Like, for example, one second you are writing on your blog about going to hawaii in 2012 and bonking your nose on the wall (what? haha)...

and next thing you know it is summer of 2013.

SEE YA SOPHOMORE YEAR.

luckily, I have journals :)

But here's a brief update of the past year. Ya, ok cool.

I moved in to Glenwood with miss Hannah, Chelsie, and Rachel. We met Rachelle and Jane :)
We were best friends before you know it. Five OH.

I learned a lot about my little heart this year too.

Hey... quick interlude. if you haven't heard the song Hello my Old Heart by the Oh Hello's, please listen. Here are some of the lyrics.

  • Hello, my old heart
  • How have you been?
  • How is it, being locked away?
  • Don't you worry
  • In there, you're safe
  • And it's true you'll never beat, but you'll never break

  • But you'll never find the answers
  • Until you set your old heart free

  • I like that.

But ya, my heart and I had a few growing pains. None that weren't worth it though :)

Then. I went on a study abroad. Saw the world. The sights. The people. I made my way through Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Switzerland, France, England and Iceland :) :)

ya, I guess you could say it was kind of life changing.

    And then I came home.

Went to New York, saw a little of my American city. (Great fun with my brother!)

Went to Bear Lake for the first time. (Happy 75 Birthday Pa)

Camping, hanging at the cabin, more camping. (holla blumes, woodfields&braithwates)

I recorded my first original SONG. ya buddy.

I went to Remix Vocal Academy! I love to sing, a lot.  I sang my little heart out. Pleasant company, perfect experience. (thanks for letting me join Daydo)

PLUS, we have the most kickin' bucket list this summer. Check it, McFarland Family 2013. I really should write about each experience...ya, that'd be cool...

ok. I'm in if you are.

just, spoiler: it includes some of THEEE coolest things e'er. mini smores, building a birdhouse form scratch, carbonating milk, petting a tiger. (dahhya)

well, I guess I'll turn in for the night then.

But look for bucket list experiences coming soon!!

    Love, Jess

P.S. how lucky you are :)
